Service Description

If you are a doctor and would like to apply for an authorization in accordance with the Compressed Air Ordinance, you can obtain this from the competent authority under certain conditions.

As an authorized doctor, you have the task of carrying out initial examinations, re-examinations and assessments as well as special medical supervision. You keep a health record for each person who is subject to your medical supervision.


Process flow

You submit your application with the relevant documents and evidence to the competent authority.

The authority will review the application and decide whether to grant the authorization in accordance with the Compressed Air Ordinance.

If the review is positive, the authorization will be sent and the administrative fees will be charged.

  • You can prove that you
    • have a license to practice medicine,
    • have the professional title of occupational medicine or additional title of occupational medicine,
    • have specialist knowledge of working with compressed air in accordance with the Compressed Air Ordinance (proof of a course with comparable content from certain GTÜM-certified courses)
    • and meet the necessary equipment, personnel and spatial requirements.
